Thorney Park Golf Club

Friday 13th April – Course Fully Open

The Course will remain fully open over the weekend

Many courses in the area are still closed. Thorney is obviously still very wet in places. We ask that wherever possible carry bags are used. It is difficult to access many areas with a trolley and will result in a lot more walking. Trollies are also causing further damage. The greenkeepers have cut some fairways and rough where possible. This has left some superficial damage which will repair quickly next week but was unavoidable as they had not been cut for a long time due to the excessive rain. We hope you enjoy the golf and better weather is to come – apparently!

Thorney Park Golf Club is an 18-hole proprietary owned parkland golf course just 10 minutes from Heathrow and ideally located for the M25, M4 and A4 roads.

Golf Course

Set in Iver, Buckinghamshire, the golf course is open to members and to the general public. The club takes great pride in the year-round condition of the course, with lush conditions prevalent in summer and no temporary tees or greens needed in winter. The golf club includes an all-weather practice range and putting green in front of the picturesque Clubhouse, plus changing rooms with shower facilities.

This friendly club welcomes visitors and golf societies with excellent bar and catering facilities being provided by our experienced franchisee Sam and her staff. Sam also organises business meetings, birthday parties, engagements and weddings at competitive prices at the club.

Our resident PGA Professional is Matthew Potter and he and his staff deal with all golfing bookings and enquiries, including golf societies. As well as running the Pro Shop, Matthew has his own Matthew Potter Golf Academy with a new state-of-the-art Golf Studio also on site. Along with the Committee, the Pro Shop administers the many monthly medals and other competitions.

All of us at Thorney Park Golf Course promote a friendly atmosphere and we have a relaxed attitude towards golfing attire and the use of mobile phones, as we strive to ensure that your experience at the club is a memorable one.
