Ross Hickson - Head Swing Coach Class A Professional P.G.A. Professional Golfer Successful in Club Championship’s and National Events as an amateur, Ross has turned his passion for the game into a profession. A great thirst for the knowledge of the golf swing and all aspects of coaching; he regularly attends seminars and personally researches new and traditional techniques.

All golfers are different. Different ages, shapes, sizes, genders and levels of ability. Plus, all golfers have different goals and ambitions for their games; in short no two golfers are the same. Reading instruction material and watching DVDs will only take you so far. There's no single ‘magic method’. If you're serious about improving your game you need to focus on what is best for you.

We have a full range of coaching options from quick swing fixes to programs that tackle the whole game. Scoring low is much more that just swing mechanics.

Monthly Swing Service
Enjoy the benefits of continued learning...

Open to all ages and abilities. The main focus of the 'Monthly Swing Service' is to set up a consistent lesson once a month. The lesson is led by the client working on an aspect of the game the player feels they need most improvement. This could be:
• Swing
• Course Management/Strategy
• Pitching
• Chipping
• Putting
• Bunker Play
• Driving
• Fairway Woods
• Shaping the Ball (Deliberately)
• Playing from different lies (Above feet or Below)
• Playing from different slopes (Up and Down)
• Difficult lies

If you want to see a real positive improvement in your game, lower your handicap, or if you are a complete beginner and want to learn the game the right way, joining the 'Monthly Swing Service' is the best way to go about it.

The cost is £25.00 a month paid by standing order, and includes one hour per month.

Junior Coaching Programme
At Thorney Park we are committed to the development of Junior Golf. Every Saturday morning we hold junior group lessons and throughout the school holidays regular junior camps are held to encourage youngsters to the game. For further information please contact the pro shop.

‘Fun Introduction to Golf’, Junior Group Classes
Intermediate Golfers every Saturday 10.00am to 11.00am (£5.00)
NEW FOR BEGINNERS every Saturday 2.00pm to 3.00pm (£5.00)
At Thorney Park Golf Club, ‘Roll Up’ classes, so just turn up.

Individual Junior Golf Session £28
Please note the parent or guardian needs to be present during an individual junior golf session.
All golf tuition sessions last for one hour. Also ½ hour individual lessons are available at £20.00.

School Holiday Junior Group Camps
Each camp is run by a PGA Professional Golfer and consists of three days, the first two days are on swing & short game, followed by final day a six hole competition.
The cost of each camp now costs £49.00 per person and includes all equipment and prizes. Lunch is available at £3.00 for a basket meal in the clubhouse.
Spaces are LIMITED TO 10 so book up early in the Proshop.
